Lock Haven responded later in the half to trim the deficit back to single digits. Granberry added a pair of free throws to push the Bald Eagles out in front by a 15-14 tally with 15:04 to play in the opening half. Dymir Montague (Philadelphia, Pa./Neumann-Goretti) gave Lock Haven a 6-4 lead with 17 and change to play in the first half of an up-and-down affair. Jesse McPherson (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Carroll) opened the scoring for the Bald Eagles with a layup before a DaQuan Granberry (Linwood, Pa./Chichester) pull-up jumper knotted the game up at four a piece. The Golden Rams took an early advantage before Lock Haven responded to take the lead. West Chester shot at a blistering 68.4% (13-of-19) clip from beyond the arc on the evening and opened an early lead by shooting 63.6% over the opening 20 minutes of play. The Lock Haven University men’s basketball team (6-11, 3-10 PSAC) far exceeded its season scoring average, but couldn’t overcome a hot-shooting effort from West Chester University (10-6, 5-6 PSAC) and dropped a 93-82 affair on Wednesday evening in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East Division action.
